The Role of Art and Culture in Regenerative Community

One of the first things to get cut in school fundings when times are rough are the Arts. If art is a creative way of expressing culture, and culture is a thread that binds people together in a strong tapestry, then you can bet that Art in the largest sense is absolutely fundamental for Regenerative Communities.

We all are sensing that that change is upon us, and in order to thrive in the midst of these changes, it will be imperative to have very strong connections to the natural world, and to the members of our local community. It can seem a daunting task in this world of 45 minute commutes to work, and pineapples in the grocery store in January, but It is what we as humans have done since the beginning of time. All we have to do is remember.

This site is under development, and will need the input of everyone who will be using it. It is in no way intended to replace the face to face connections so important to developing a strong community, but rather to enhance, inspire, and encourage such connections. We live in a fast paced world where we are expected to keep up with what's going on at an alarming rate. Information Sickness is a very real thing in this day and age, and not knowing which information to pay attention to for your health and sanity is a symptom of it. This network is an attempt to streamline getting what it is you really NEED to know in order to develop a more meaningful connection to the world we all share. The people on this network are committed to creating and strengthening the bonds that tie them to the natural world, their neighbors, and their authentic selves.

Please send your feedback and requests along, and we'll try to make this work for as many people as possible. Please add comments and suggestions anywhere you can, so we can incorporate them in an orderly fashion. If you are interested in becoming a facilitator of a page, please click here.
